President Harry Murphy and Secretary General Joe Schembri of The Commonwealth Games Association of Gibraltar will be travelling to Edmonton, Canada in early October to attend the General Assembly Of The Commonwealth Games Federation.

Whilst in Edmonton they will also attend several meetings including The Commonwealth Games Federation (European Region) 2016 Annual meeting and The Commonwealth Sports Summit.

Keynote speakers will be David Rutherford, Chief Commissioner, New Zealand Human Rights Commission,  Chief Ava Hill, Aboriginal Leadership Partnership 2015 Pan Am Games, Baroness Scotland Secretary General, Commonwealth Secretariat, Carla Qualtrough Minister for Sport and Persons with Disability, Louise Martin CBE, President, CGF and HRH Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex and the Vice President of the Commonwealth Games Federation.

Harry and Joe will also be in private meetings with representatives of the Gold Coast regarding the 2018 Games and with Chris Jenkins Vice President of the CGF European Region to discuss and finalise arrangements for the 2017 European Region Annual Meeting which Gibraltar has been asked to host.
